2011: Dream High

 Suzy first debut drama was Dream High in 2011 as Go Hyemi. She acted along with Kim Soo Hyun, Ok Taecyeon, Ham Eun Jung, Jang Woo Young and IU. The drama has 16 episodes in total. The drama itself was really popular among teenagers and the rating during that time was about 18 to 20 %. 


The story of Dream High was about six students at Kirin High School sharing dreams of becoming K-pop idols. They learn how to develop their singing, dancing, songwriting skills while showing their personal growth. Suzy who acted as Go Hyemi wanted to become an opera singer at first but forced to give up because of paying her dad's debt to the gangster. If you want to know more, please go and watch it :) 



2012: Big



Suzy's second drama called "Big", starring Gong Yoo, Lee Min Jung, Shin Won Ho, and Suzy. The drama aired on KBS2 from June 4 to July 24, 2012. The drama has 16 episodes. 

The drama is about Gil Da-ran (Lee Min Jung) got engaged to a handsome doctor, Seo Yoon-jae (Gong yoo). Da-ran then meets an 18 years old transfer student from the US, Kang Kyung Joon (Shin Won Ho). Yoonhae and Kyung Joon got into the accident and switch the body. Suzy acted as Jang Ma-ri who has a crush on Kyung Joon. Do not forget to watch the drama if you want to learn more :) 



2013: Gu Family Book



Suzy's third drama is "Gu Family Book" starring Bae Suzy, Lee Seung-gi, Sung Joon, Lee Yu-bi, and Yoo Yeon-seok. The drama aired in 2013 on MBC channel from April 8 to June 25, 2013. The drama has 24 episodes. 

The drama is about a half-man half monster who is searching an old book that contains the secret to becoming human. Bae Suzy acts as Dam Yeo-wool who is a martial art instructor at her father's school. She is skillful with a bow and arrow. Lee Seung-gi acts as Kang Chi who is a half-human half-monster and he had a crush on Lee Yu-bi character (Chung-Jo) in the beginning. Yeo-Wool and Kang-Chi met during their childhood where Kang-Chi helped her with the dog attack. They meet each other again and Yeo-Wool accepts him as he is even knowing the truth. 2016: Uncontrollably Fond


Another Suzy's drama called "Uncontrollably Fond", Staring Kim Woo-bin and Bae Suzy. It is a KBS2 drama airing from July 6 to September 8, 2016. The drama is really well received in China as it has reached more than 4 billion views in Youku, making it the most viewed Korean drama on the site. 

Kim Woobin acts as Shin Joon-young who becomes a top actor-singer while Suzy acts as Noh Eul who becomes a documentary producer. Noh Eul had a difficult childhood while her father passed away in a hit-and-run accident making Noh Eul to quit school just to make a living for herself and her brother. 



2017: While You Were Sleeping


While You Were Sleeping is another Suzy drama in 2017 airing on SBS Channel staring Lee Jong-Suk, Bae Suzy, Jung Hae-In, Lee Sang-Yeob, and Ko Sung-Hee. The drama has 16 episodes but divided into two episodes per episode, therefore, 32 in total. The drama is about the lives on three young adults - a field reporter, a prosecutor, and a police officer who have the ability to foresee future events through their dreams. The drama is available on Viki, KOCOWA, Viu, iQIYI, and Hulu. See trailer below: 



2019: Vagabond


Vagabond is a 2019 SBS series starring Lee Sung-gi, Bae Suzy, and Shin Sung-rok. It aired from September 2020 to November 23, 2019 for 16 episodes. The drama is about Cha Dal-Gun (Lee Seunggi) who works as a stuntman, experiencing the loss of his nephew in a plane crash. He then travel to Morocco for the funeral. Suzy, on the other hand, works as an NIS agent. Both of them will work together to unveil the truth of the plane crash incident. The drama is available on Netflix. 

Vagabond is the drama that Suzy and Seung-gi got to work together again since Gu Family Book. See the trailer below:


2020: Start-Up


Start-Up is a 2020 series starring Bae Suzy, Nam Joo-hyuk, Kim Seon-ho, and Kang Hanna. The drama is about a woman who has dreams of becoming an entrepreneur like Steve Job. It aired on TvN from October 17 to December 6, 2020. It is also available to stream on Netflix. The drama became 2nd most watched Korean drama on Netflix in 2020. See trailer below:

2012: Architecture 101

Introduction to Architecture is a 2012 movie about the story of two students who meet in an introductory architecture class and fall in love. They then meet 15 years later.

2015: The Sound of a Flower


The Sound of a Flower "Dorihwaga", is a 2015 movie based on a real life of Jin Chae-Seon, who became Joseon's first female pansori singer in 1867. Chae-Seon risks her life by cross-dressing as a man because women were forbidden to sing and perform on stage during that time. The movie tells the relationship between Chae-Seon and her pansori teacher. See the trailer below and do not forget to watch the full movie :)



2019: Ashfall


Ashfall is a Korean action film starring Lee Byung-Hun, Ha Jung-Woo, Ma Dong-Seok, Jeon Hye-Jin, and Bae Suzy. The fil is about the sudden Mt. Paektu erupts causing severe earthquakes in both Northland South Korea. 

Jo In-Chang (Ha Jung-Woo) is the captain of a special forces team taking part in the operation and he later contacts Lee Joon-Pyeong (Lee Byung-Hun) who is a part of the Korean People's Army in North Korea as a spy. Meanwhile, Jo In-Chang's pregnant wife Choi Ji-Young (Bae Suzy) is all alone in Seoul and struggling to survive this disaster. 2020: Live Your Strength (Lancôme's short film)


Live Your Strength is a Lancôme short film written by Suzy but modified by director Kim Ji-Woon. It tells a story of a woman who suffered from a feeling of loss after a breakup. The film shows Suzy going back to her ex's boyfriend house to collect all her belongings and become happy again afterward. It describes the process of growth and happiness. 2021: Wonderland (Coming Soon)



Wonderland is a 2021 movie, starring Bae Suzy, Park Bogum, Gong Yoo, Tang Wei, Jung Yumi, and Choi Wooshik. The drama is about a simulated universe where people can reunite with loved ones that they can no longer interact in the real world. 

Suzy and Park Bogum plays a young couple. Park Bogum's character falls into a coma so Suzy's character request to meet him in Wonderland. 

The drama is planning to air in the second half of 2021 on Netflix. As of 01/02/2021, it has confirmed to air on Netflix excluding Korea and China. The airing date is still unconfirmed.
